The Nutan Maharashtra Vidya Prasarak Mandal established Nutan Maharashtra Institute of Engg. & Technology in year 2008 with a primary objective to provide degree technical education to the undeveloped area of maval around Talegaon. The surrounding area has been fully developed as an Industrial belt and now there has been an opportunity for industry-Institute relationship. The first batch of the degree students of NMIET has come out in June 2012 and all the past students have been gainfully employed.
Nutan Maharashtra Vidya Prasarak Mandal provided all necessary funds for the establishment of NMIET so that the entire infrastructure consisting of building, laboratories, library, class rooms etc. has been developed as state of art. All the dignitaries and members of inspection committees of AICTE, DTE, Pune University and also stat words from industry including Mr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Mr. Deepak Shikarpur, Mr. Parmeshwaran and many others have appreciated the facilities provided. Along with other facilities, the Institute has committed young energetic staff to teach and guide the students.
The Institute has gained a name in the nearby area and now the students from Mumbai and Kokan region, Marathwada, Vidarbha and also from Pune proper are also found to have chosen this institute for further technical education.
Nutan Maharashtra Vidya Prasarak Mandal has an historic and philosophical background of last 107 years which has been inculcated in all the students studying in the institute run by them. The student of NMIET is expected to be technically sound ethically pure and philosophically a social. NMIET will always think to achieve this goal along with enhancement in the technical education and research.
